Curriculum changes must be accompanied by an updated Curriculum Map, and any supporting information such as Program Improvement Plan data, Advisory Committee recommendations (meeting minutes), or other materials in support of changes.

New Equity and Inclusion Statement Requirement
Minnesota State Colleges and Universities requires all Programs to provide an Equity and Inclusion Statement which their program will continuously strive to achieve. Please read the below linked suggestions and recommendations for creating the statement. Modifications that require notification or approval to Minnesota State Academic Programs will not be received or considered without the Equity and Inclusion Statement:

For New Program Proposals
This is required documentation: Before submitting the New Course Form to the Academic Affairs and Standards Committee (AASC) for Curriculum Review, follow the procedures in the materials from Minnesota State below. Applications are submitted to the state office after review by the AASC. Curriculum Resources
Syllabi for courses are required to be based on the Common Course Outline available under Faculty Resources (Course Descriptions and Outlines) for each course. See Minnesota State Policy 3.22 and Minnesota State Procedure 3.22.1 for details.
