There are many ways to get financial assistance for college — from grants and employment to a wide variety of loans and scholarships. NTC provides a comprehensive array of aid options in addition to helping students and their families navigate the process of investigating and obtaining assistance from federal, state and private sources.

Our office is here to ensure you achieve your degree without spending a lot of time worrying about money. We also don’t want you to graduate with too much debt, so we will do our best to help you make the most responsible decisions possible.

2025-2026 FAFSA is Open

Take the 1st step and complete the FAFSA now.

  • To be considered for all Federal and State aid programs, complete the FAFSA as soon as possible. The application will require 2023 income tax for parents and student.
  • Federal Pell Grant recipients must finalize all registration within the first two weeks of the semester. A student who withdraws from a course within the first 2 weeks of the semester will have their Pell award reduced to the adjusted level of enrollment

MN State Grant Funding

All schools in the state of Minnesota have been notified by the MN Office of Higher Education that the Office will be unable to fund MN State Grant for the summer 2025 term. Also, students who initially file their 2024-2025 FAFSA or MN DREAM Act application on or after December 1, 2024 will not be eligible for MN Grant for the 2024-2025 academic year. In some cases, those students who will not be receiving MN Grant in the two circumstances listed above, may be eligible for the MN North Star Promise. If you have a MN State Grant award for Spring Semester 2025, this award will still be available. Please contact the Financial Aid Office if you have questions or concerns.
