On Aug. 31, Northwest Technical College submitted its 112-page assurance argument to the Higher Learning Commission in preparation for the commission’s September site visit.
NTC’s argument, assembled and written during the summer by five sub-committees working as part of a larger task force, provides evidence that the college meets the HLC’s five core components for accreditation. These are standards of quality by which the commission determines whether an institution merits accreditation or reaffirmation of accreditation.
Sub-committee members were drawn from NTC faculty, staff and administrators under the guidance of interim dean Bob Griggs and with support from external consultants.
