BEMIDJI—The Northwest Technical College Foundation elected officers to its board of directors during its Oct. 17 annual meeting. Jess Frenzel was elected board chair; Warren Larson was elected vice chair; Corey Rupp was re-elected treasurer; and Sarah Martina was elected governance chair.
Frenzel, who joined the board in 2013 and previously served as vice chair, is also a member of the board’s outreach committee. He is the controller at Knife River Materials. Larson, director of public affairs at Sanford Health, has been a member of the board since 2014 and serves on its Governance Committee. Rupp is senior vice president of consumer lending at Affinity Plus Credit Union. A member of the board’s Fundraising Committee, he joined the board in 2013 and will begin his second term as treasurer. Martinka joined the board in 2017 and is a member of its Governance Committee. She is an office administrator at Chester Berg Toyota.
The board also elected three new members, including Chelsea Bennett, First National Bank Bemidji; Wade Semeliss, Potlatch; and Dr. Blake Smith, Bemidji Dental Clinic.
The NTC Foundation advances the college’s mission and goals by seeking, receiving and managing charitable gifts and endowments for scholarships, equipment and the enrichment of academic programs and student services, a press release said.
