Students from area high schools explored careers in health and human services at Northwest Technical College’s March 21 Passport to the Future event. The day of activities demonstrated careers available through NTC’s nursing, medical coding & health care support, dental assisting, community health worker, child care & young child education and health sciences broad field programs.
After a welcome and introduction from Darrin Strosahl, NTC’s vice president of academic affairs, students visited stations for each of the six featured academic programs and joined in hands-on activities with instructors.
Academic program faculty at each station gave a brief overview of their program, then directed students in hands-on activities. Each student experienced each of the six represented programs.
