Northwest Technical College will join other Minnesota State colleges and universities in celebrating Minnesota State Month by waiving application fees during the month of October.
October also marks College Knowledge Month, a statewide effort to provide graduating high school seniors, especially underrepresented students, the opportunity to apply to college without the barrier of an application fee. High schools and postsecondary institutions work together to engage, inform and support students as they enter into the college application process.
“The colleges and universities of Minnesota State offer an extraordinary educational experience and the lowest tuition and fees of all public or private higher education options in the state,” said Devinder Malhotra, chancellor of Minnesota State. “We are proud to take this exceptional value a step further by waiving the fee our colleges and universities normally charge when students apply for admission for the entire month of October – Minnesota State Month.”
For the first time, all of the colleges and universities of Minnesota State have waived their application fees for the entire month of October. Application fees for qualified low-income students are always waived at all Minnesota State colleges and universities.
Minnesota State includes 26 community and technical colleges and seven state universities serving more than 300,000 students. It offers 3,885 academic program and the lowest tuition in the state.
