Donors from across the region recently showed up in a big way to support Northwest Technical College students.
Over $79,000 (surpassing the campaign’s $60,000 goal) was raised by more than 60 alumni, faculty, staff, community members and industry partners during NTC’s Day of Giving on April 10.
Donors could choose to direct their gifts to three unique designations on that day, allowing them to support NTC students in ways that interested them most.
1. Career Catalyst Fund
The Career Catalyst Fund supports students who need assistance purchasing tools, equipment or materials they need to succeed in their classes and get a jump on their careers.
2. Student Emergency Fund Grant
Gifts toward Student Emergency Fund Grants provide immediate assistance to students experiencing crises such as medical emergencies, housing insecurity, sudden loss of income or other unexpected financial challenges.
3. General Scholarship Fund
This fund provides scholarships to students and helps them turn their dreams of a college education into reality.
Day of Giving is coordinated by the NTC Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that exists to support NTC students through scholarships, grants and other critical funding initiatives. The foundation has raised over $200,000 since hosting its first Day of Giving in 2019.
